Infant’s death spurs product liability warnings on bassinets

The Consumer Product Safety Commission urged retailers to stop selling Simplicity bassinets connected to two infant product liability deaths. The CPSC secured agreements with Wal-Mart, Toys “R” Us, Kmart, Big Lots, Target, and J.C. Penney to voluntarily stop selling nearly 900,000 bassinets.
