Chicago Woman Struck By CTA Train

A 65-year-old woman was fatally struck by a train in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago. The woman was pronounced dead on the scene after being struck by the train. A southbound Red Line train made contact with the woman early in the morning. An autopsy has been scheduled, but not yet conducted. Power was shut off on the Red Line tracks following the fatal accident, but had been restored by commuting hours. Chicago Police detectives are investigating the train accident.
